Rice, Polaw, Bryani and Khichury
   
Bhuna Khichuri  
  Ingredients:
  • • Mugh Dal 1 cup
  • • Polaw Rice 4 cups
  • • Frozen vegetables 2 cups
  • • Onion 1 medium
  • • Jalapeno or chilli 4
  • • Ginger 3/4 tsp
  • • Cumin 1/2 tsp
  • • Coriander 1/2 tsp
  • • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • • Garlic 1/2 tsp
  • • Cooking oil 1/2 cup
Methods:
1. Take 1 cup of "moong" daal and 4 cups of "pulao" rice in a rice cooker.
2. Wash the mixture and drain out excess water.
3. Add 2 cups of fresh or previously-frozen mixed vegetable pieces (broccoli, cauliflower, sweet peas, long beans, carrot, corn etc.).
4. Add small-cut pieces of one medium onion and four standard jalapeno peppers.
5. Add 3/4 teaspoon of ground ginger, 1/2 teaspoon of ground cumin (jeera), 1/2 teaspoon of ground coriander (dhonia), 1 teaspoon of ground turmeric (holud), 1/2 teaspoon of ground garlic (roshun).
6. Add 1/2 cup of your favorite cooking oil, and stir well for a very good dry mixture.
7. Now, add 9 (nine) cups of warm water, put the lid on the cooker and turn it on.
8. Your Khichuri will be done in half an hour.
   
   
   
Shutki Fish curry  
    Ingredients:
  • • Dry fish/Shutki 200 gm
  • • oil 2 table spoon
  • • onion slice 1 cup
  • • garlic paste 1 tea spoon
  • • turmeric powder 1 tea spoon
  • • chili powder 2 tea spoon
  • • salt as required
  • • water as required
  • • garlic slice 1 cup
  • • potato slice 1 cup
  • • green chili 5-6
  • • tomato 1
Methods:
1. Cut the dry fish in small pieces and soak it in cold water for 4-5 hour. Then the fish will become soft.
2. Then soak again in hot water for ½ an hour and after that remove the fish bone.
3. Put a pan on the burner and pour oil in the pan.
4. Add onion slice in oil and fry for 3 minutes.
5. Add all the spices and small amount of water and shutki and cook for 5 minutes.
6. Now add green chili, tomato, small amount of water and cook for 20 minutes.
